Nose, Sinus & Allergy

Nasal Endoscopy

Nasal Endoscopy is a simple, in office procedure that allows the physician to examine the interior of your nasal cavity and the passages into the sinus area. It provides important information used in your treatment plan.

Nasal Polyps

Nasal polyps are abnormal lesions or growths that originate from any portion of the nasal mucosa or paranasal sinuses, frequently associated with chronic allergies.

Nasal Obstruction

Nasal obstruction can occur due to anatomic abnormalities of normal structures in the nose, or inflammatory processes that lead to swelling in the nose. A few symptoms of nasal obstruction are breathing difficulty through the nose or breathing through the mouth.

Loss of Smell

Loss of smell can be partial or complete, although a complete loss of smell is fairly rare. Loss of smell can also be temporary or permanent, depending on the cause. It can cause you to lose interest in eating, which could possibly lead to weight loss, malnutrition or even depression.

Allergy Testing & Treatment

To pinpoint your allergy problem and determine the treatment, your doctor will ask questions about your symptoms and habits. You’ll also need various tests because there are lots of allergy treatment options depending on your results and skin testing can be done in our office. Over-the-counter and prescription medications can ease symptoms and regular allergy shots can also help.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy, also known as allergy shots, is a form of long-term treatment that decreases symptoms for many people with allergies. The shots decrease sensitivity to allergens and often leads to lasting relief of allergy symptoms even after treatment is stopped. Allergy shots work like a vaccine by developing your immunity or tolerance to the allergen.
